About Cozumel
Cozumel is an island off the eastern coast of Mexico’s Yukatan Peninsula, directly across from Playa del Carmen.
The name Cozumel was derived from the Mayan “Ah Cuzamil Peten” which means “The Island of Swallows”. The island is rich in history, cultural experiences and hospitality. It is world famous for suba diving and snorkeling. The Mesoamerican reef system, located just off Cozumel island, is the second-largest reef system in the world. There are many resorts and white sand beach clubs to enjoy. Cozumel is home to some of the most breathtaking sunsets in the world. (See some examples above)
